A: Yes. The majority of the Village's streets are posted "6 tons
per axle". Anything heavier requires a permit from the Police Department.

A: Yes. Applications and/or questions should be directed to the Chief
of Police.
Q: Does the Village of Lincolnshire
require licenses for amusement devices?
A: Yes. A "Suppliers License" and individual amusement device

A: Yes. Permission can be granted on a case-by-case basis. Contact the

Q: Does the Police Department provide

A: Yes. The Police Department has a very comprehensive variety of Public
Information and Education
Programs available to the residents and businesses within the Village
free of charge. Contact the Police Department for additional information.
Q: Where is the Illinois Vehicle
Emissions Testing Site?
A: The site is located to 580 Bond Street in Lincolnshire. Bond Street
runs north off of Aptakisic Road west of Route 21 or just east of the
Wisconsin Central Railroad tracks. The emissions test center is on the
west side of Bond Street. The phone number for the emissions program
is 800.436.7566.
Q: Does the Police Department provide
tours?
A: Yes. We are happy to provide tours for groups or individuals. Contact

Q: Does the Police Department
provide "Ride Alongs" for civilians?
A: Yes. As conditions permit, civilians are allowed to ride in the patrol
cars with our Officers. Permission forms are available from the Police

Q: Does the Police Department
provide fingerprinting?
A: Yes. If you are a resident of Lincolnshire or work in Lincolnshire,
we can provide this service. If you have the forms and are required to
be fingerprinted for whatever reason, appointments can be made to be

Q: Do you have a list of Registered
Sex Offenders who live in Lincolnshire?
A: Yes. A list of Registered Sex Offenders who reside in Lincolnshire
is maintained by the Lake County Sheriff's Office in Waukegan. You can

Q: Will the Police Department assist
me if I think my child is using drugs or alcohol?
A: Yes. The Police Department can assist you with a wide variety of internal

Q: Do I need to register my burglar
or fire alarms with the Police Department?
A: Yes. Both burglar and fire alarms are required to be registered with
