Good Humor Truck and Safety
With the arrival of summer comes the Good Humor
truck traveling through the Village. With this in mind, parents
should discuss certain safety tips with their children:
-
Children should never go to the ice cream truck without
their parents’ knowledge.
-
Children should wait until the ice cream truck comes to
their house and should not chase the truck on other
streets.
-
Children should never step into the street. Wait up on
the curb until the truck comes to a complete stop
before approaching it.
-
Be extremely careful if it is necessary to cross the
street to get to the truck. Look left, right and left
again.
-
Never get inside the ice cream truck. The vendor can
make the transaction from the truck window.
-
Parents should accompany their children whenever
possible, but at a minimum, they should keep an eye
on the children at all times.
The ice cream vendor is required to hold a license from
the Village which will contain his name, company name
and his photograph. If the vendor does not have a
license, please notify the Police Department.
At this time "Good Humor" is the only ice cream company
registered with the Village. Questions? Call Pattie
