Route 22/Bannockburn Construction

Please be advised that Concrete Paving is tentatively scheduled to take place on Half Day Road (Route 22) on Thursday, September 29, 2011, from Telegraph Road to Broadleys Court, weather permitting.

When the contractors perform said concrete paving work, there will be longer than normal construction delays and increased traffic congestion on Half Day Road (Route 22). Traffic will be reduced to one lane with flaggers alternating the direction of traffic that is allowed to pass the closure. The contractor will be saw cutting the pavement at the joints as soon as the pavement will allow. Such work will continue into the late night hours. Motorists should expect extreme traffic delays and find alternate routes if possible.

In addition, please note that Telegraph Road at Half Day Road will be closed on Thursday, September 29th, from 6:00 a.m. until approximately 10:00 a.m. You will not be able to head north or south at this intersection. Please seek an alternate route to avoid this intersection.

Motorists should pay close attention to the numerous Changeable Message Signs located on both IL 22 and IL 43 as the messages will be updated frequently as the specific dates become known.
